Oh, the second trimester. It’s been such a neat experience to see how much my body has changed in just a matter of weeks. That being said, I’ve been all about comfort this trimester wearing lots of leggings and stretchy tees.
Below are some of my favourite products I’ve worn/used so far during the second trimester. I haven’t included links, but all can be found with a simple search on the company’s site.
Old Navy Maternity Tees
What I’ve noticed the most during this trimester is the change in my body shape/size. I invested in some really nice maternity tops for work, but having some comfy (and stretchy) tees for weekends or after work has been so nice.
Fetal Doppler
I’ve read many an article that warns against having an at-home doppler, but I went ahead and bought one anyway. To me, it’s nice to be able to listen to baby’s heartbeat when I’m feeling anxious and such. It gives me peace of mind knowing he’s okay. The heart rate doesn’t seem to be 100% accurate on the doppler, but gives a pretty good idea of how baby is doing. I found mine on Amazon for under $50.
Body Pillow
I have seen those pregnancy pillows absolutely everywhere, and heard amazing things about them. Unfortunately, though, they’re super expensive. While I’m sure they work much better than mine, I bought a $10 Walmart body pillow and it’s been helpful for supporting my legs and belly at night.
Gap Body Maternity Leggings
Pre-pregnancy, I pretty much lived in leggings. Because of that, I knew I needed a pair of maternity leggings when my regular ones became too snug around the belly. I love Gap because of their sales, but their leggings also are super soft. I love wearing these around the house but also under a long shirt/sweater for work.
