As time is winding down until Sam’s arrival (7 weeks until his due date!), I am making sure everything is prepared for our hospital stay. I’ve read countless articles and lists on what to bring in your hospital bag, and some are incredibly detailed. Since this is my first labour & delivery, I have a fear that I’ve overpacked and I’m over-prepared. Even so, I’d rather be prepared with extra than have to run out at the last minute to get necessities. Once Samuel arrives and our time in the hospital is done, I’m sure I will have an update to share on what we actually used.
Unfortunately, our hospital does not provide diapers, pads, or any other necessities to its patients. That being said, I’ve had to pack a lot of items that are not usually included on hospital bag lists. Check with your hospital/birthing centre before packing your bags; you may not need to bring as many items.
